Deedy Williams
Deedy Williams, a native of the Syracuse, NY area, was born and raised in the Word of God. She was taught to have a relationship with God thru his son Jesus Christ by reading the Holy Bible and thru fasting and praying at an early age. It was when she faced a critical illness during her college years, that she learned how real God was and that “the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous availeth much”, (James 5:16 KJV) wasn’t just a scripture or a tag line in someone’s testimony, but life sustaining.
Always having a desire to pray and commune with God, it was when Deedy became a member of “Divine Faith Ministries International”, in Jonesboro GA, and was given the opportunity to become a part of the Prayer Ministry; something ignited in her, an even more greater desire to pray, but on a global scale. During this time, Deedy received several months of training on prayer, scriptural content, praying for others and the purpose of prayer thru this ministry. She began to pray with those that called the church prayer line as well as respond to voicemail and emails requesting prayer from all over the country. Still today, Deedy attends a morning weekly prayer call with this ministry before her day begins.
Some years later, Deedy returned to Syracuse and recognized the need for a prayer ministry and then “Purposeful Prayer” was birthed. Her desire and goal thru Purposeful Prayer is that every believer would develop a prayer life and come to know Christ in a more intimate way, to pray the Word of God and to see the manifestation of your prayers.
